WHAT is VES ? (W2)

VES is a specialised service and tool enabling personal contribution to count towards enterprise growth and success.

It does that by collaboratively revealing the essential connections between Participants and the value of their Contributions.

The essential connections are called value transactions. They can be within a formal process, shown green in the diagram below, or part of an informal network, shown blue (a).

Just remember to distinguish between the two types of value transactions (solid or dotted lines, or different colours).

Value transactions convey deliverables (product, services and information) between Participants. These use a mechanism which in VES can range from an email to an oil tanker!

We shall see later (W5) that deliverables can be either tangible or intangible, and describe the dual nature of a Participant (W6).
